James has also served as a structural engineer and international project manager for many years following the completion of a dual degree in Civil Engineering and International Project Management，graduated from the Construction Department at SAIT in Alberta, trained the Home Inspection by Carson Dunlop in Toronto;
James has over 30 years of experience in building construction and housing inspection. He has been worked in one of the largest fully integrated, privately owned real estate development companies in Western Canada, as well as in an Commercial General Contracting and Construction Company.
